The Ministry of Economic Affairs of Saxony-Anhalt is very interested in expanding the economic relations between the state and Israel. After a visit to Israel, as part of a high-ranking business delegation headed by Minister of Economic Affairs Reiner Haseloff in November 2008, selected representatives of Israeli companies are to be invited to Saxony-Anhalt in the fall of this year. This underlines the seriousness and sustainability in building and exchanging economic and cultural relations between Israel and Saxony-Anhalt.

Already today, several Israeli companies (eg Israel Chemical Industries ICL, Poleg PLastic Industries or Sharon Laboratories) have subsidiaries in Saxony-Anhalt. On the other side is z. For example, the company Befer GmbH from Halberstadt took part in the tunnel construction project "Mount Carmel", while the FAM GmbH from Magdeburg supplied the conveyor systems for a gypsum plant in Israel and the company ANA Verfahrenstechnik GmbH from Merseburg delivers jet pumps and liquid mixers to Israel.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs of Saxony-Anhalt invites specifically selected Israeli companies that are considered as potential trading and business partners for the Saxony-Anhalt economy. Above all, importers or buyers from the food, chemical and energy sectors are to be approached, who are brought in contact with decision-makers from Saxony-Anhalt companies during their 2 to 3-day visit.

In the organization and implementation of the business delegation, the Saxony-Anhalt Ministry of Economic Affairs uses the tried and tested services of ISUCON GmbH, which specializes in economic relations between Israel and Germany.
